I own many wigs, across many price points and quality, and this is one of my favorites. The hair texture is quality silky soft; very natural in appearance and touch! Not too heavy or too much volume. Hairline is excellent and natural looking. It's universally flattering across all age-groups but isn't your traditional granny bob. It arrived on time as expected and in good, new condition - kudos to Wig Outlet.
I want to advise new wig wearers to really play with the style and part before getting it cut a bit more customized by a stylist or yourself (if you prefer that)... it is not symmetrical on one side when parted down the middle, which dsnt look bad but may be too extreme for many pple or daily wear.. if you part it to the side as is designed, the symmetry evens out well, FYI ... so play play play bc I've found most wigs look terrible until I play w them, even if they are 'out of the box ready to wear' like this one. If you do not have hair, like from alopecia or cancer like myself, you need a good quality wig cap and/or band underneath, as it's quite itchy, esp w chemo scalp tenderness. It comes w a wig cap but I prefer my own more expensive bamboo and padded caps. I've not worn Jamesi yet in the summer but have chemo-induced menopause, so it can at times be a bit warm for me, as most wigs are, in a hot flash - just diff pple and climates vary. It does fall in your face at first, which I've read others complain about, but that's a common, easy solution of simply playing, wearing, breaking her in and training it how you want it to fall. It isn't an issue anymore w mine now. Many wigs of this quality/type are this way - it dsnt mean it's defective.. Also, always try out your new wig with makeup you'll be wearing, as certain colors bare-faced come to life with the right makeup!
*** Reasons I could not give 5 stars are only d/t my personal preferences, not its quality...
1. I wear size petite wig, so size average is too big on me. I've tightened up the straps all I can without actually cutting out wefts to customize it smaller, so until then, it unfortunately bunches up a bit in the back for me (it's hidden by the fantastic cut, unless you touch the bulge) so it also feels a bit loose for my liking. I've made it work though ;) Again, you have to play until it works. I would be SO much happier if this was available in Petite ...
2. Although it isn't mentioned, this wig really seems permateased to me, at least mildly.. Personally I don't like permatease bc my head & face are small, and my bio hair is very silky, fine, falling flat on my head. However, some pple prefer some permatease; it's just preference. [FYI, if your head shape is more flat along the top (mine is not) then the permatease usually looks really natural and great]
3. I did need to cut my own side baby hairs, since the size is too big and dsnt cover my natural side burn but does cover the top of my ear ... and I like tucking it behind my ears sometimes in daily wear. But I've customized every wig I own so other than size, that's not a big deal at all
My own preferences & pet peeves aside, this is an excellent wig that I highly recommend to anyone, at any age. It is worth the money for a quality synthetic wig and you'll likely want another in a different color
