Karlie by Jon Renau is a smooth, shoulder-length bob made with the finest synthetic fiber. The sheer lace front allows you to feel confident styling your hair away from the face. The monofilament top is hand-tied and allows multi-directional parting while providing the appearance of natural growth. This wig is flattering and brings out your best features. To further personalize, have your stylist add a full bang or side bang.
The SmartLace Front mimics a natural hairline and each hair is hand tied one by one. The synthetic hair is pre-styled with smooth layers and is ready-to-wear out of the box.
To determine the right size wig for you, measure the circumference of your head from the front hairline, behind your ear, to the nape of your neck, to your other ear and then back to the front hairline. Jot down your measurement then consult the table below. Please note that sizes may vary slightly by brand.
Many wigs come in petite, average and large cap sizes. Average size wigs, however, tend to fit about 90-95% of customers. See wig size chart below, so you are able to determine the best cap size for you!

I ordered and received with "0" issue Karlie in Hot Cocoa. Love the cut, style, cap and the color. Very comfortable. BUT! every time I've taken her out in attempt to wear (this was my 1st full wig) about 20 hairs fall out just putting it on! I use the mirror/light over a white sink and gasped at the fallout! Like someone else reviewed, I'm afraid it will be bald before I can decide to keep or return. What's up with that? For the price of this hand-tied ($470 w/o any coupon!!), it is just WAY too much for one that sheds like this. I'm just afraid to pull to the trigger, but I've tried so many other styles and really love this one.
Are there similar styles in another brand??? The photo was from this morning, and typical of the amount of hair loss each time. Really a shame.
The color I ordered was 22f16, which is described as being blonde with “ash” and “natural” tones. Instead the color is a muted gold, like a burnished gold, very warm and rather dull.I don’t see a bit of ash!. (I’m an artist and know color). I have cooler-toned skin, and this warm color looks horrible on me! The only JR blonde that works for me is Palm Springs Blonde, except the root is way too dark, sigh. Though this cap fits my 21.25 in. head very well, the color doesn’t work, so sadly, back it goes. JR needs to add unrooted Palm Springs blonde (or a light shadow root) to their color choices!
So far, so good. I am now on my fourth Karlie. I hadn't planned on going back to this wig. I thought about getting out of the Julianne/Karlie rut a bit. The problem is that their hand-tied caps fit so well (mostly) for me, especially now that I am shaving/buzzing my head, so I can get my wigs to fit better. Besides, what's the point in keeping my biohair when my bought hair looks so much better?
I saw this wig in my favorite color (Shaded Peach) on a clearance price, and just had to snap it up before I missed it. So, I'm back with one of my usual daily drivers.
Karlie flows as well as always and I can't get over the wonderful color. It's interesting how much variety there can be with the same wig. This cap fits better on me than my last Karlie. I'm happy.
I really like the cut and color of this piece. I have alopecia and seek out 100% hand tied caps. My only complaint is that due to the cap size, the ear tabs land too high.
First of all, I had a great experience with WigOutlet. The wig was shipped the next day after I purchased and arrived the next day, so 2 days from purchase to arrival.
Out of the box, the wig was really beautiful and the fibers felt amazing. After wearing it a couple of times in my windy city, the fibers aren't as silky silky as they were, but still feel really great. When I first got it, it had the signature zig zag part. It was a little too curled in for my taste, so steamed it straight and love the look a lot more. The ends of the wig are curling in only slightly now and I like the look at lot.
Overall, I love this Karlie in Palm Springs Blonde. I'll be buying Karlie and from WigOutlet in general in the future.
Great piece, great experience.
This is the first wig I have ever bought and I wish I had done it sooner! I have had thin hair all my life, wearing Karlie I feel so good, the hair is so soft I feel like she is very natural looking. The cap is so comfortable! Thanks wigoutlet!
I love the color. wig fits nicely but the hairs were shedding from the very beginning. I did purchase an adhesive which helped
I bought this Karlie wig in colour 1BRH30. It arrived so fast (I live in Canada) and it even came with a wig cap. This wig looks just like it does in the images and is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable. It fits my head like a glove and looks very natural. The hairline looks really good. I'm going through chemo and have a human hair wig as well which I paid a lot more for; I will be wearing this wig almost as much as the other one especially during the summer months because it's so darn cute.
Karlie is my first wig, I wore toppers for years but this is my first full wig.
When I first got it I LOVED it. It had no fake wigginess look. It was straight just like my natural hair so it wasn't as big of a shock when I started wearing it to work.
But within a few hours the fibers start to feel dirty. Very scratchy and not soft.
Around the bottom where it touches my shoulders, the hair is ridiculously hard to keep unknotted.
Every night I spray it down with JR detangler and come it out completely with the JR comb, then put it on my styrofoam head to dry from the detangler overnight.
In the morning it looks okay but by noon it's got that dirty scratchy feel again.
I'm as gentle as I can be to get the knots out, but this does shed. A LOT. 5-10 hairs every morning and night when I brush it out. 5 or so throughout the day.
I'm worried in 2 months the wig will be bald.
If it were cheaper I'd buy it again because I love how un-wiggy it looks. I tried similar cuts from other brands and it was VERY fake looking. But not this one.
Does anyone know how long it takes to get the order? Thank you
This wig is so well made and the fibers are soft and silky. The fit was perfect for my 21 inch circumference head, but the color was too gold for my skin tone. WigOutlet is so great about returns! I reordered a wig in a different color.
My second Karlie wig is wonderful. My first one was in Cocoa Bean, but seeing as that one finally died out, I was without a straighter wig for a couple of months. I can’t get over how well Jon Renau’s hand-tied caps work for me as far as fit, and I wanted something lighter in color, so I bought Number Two in Caramel Ribbon - on clearance, plus another percentage off. I couldn’t resist a Karlie at that price.
One thing that does bother me about this style is my attempts to tame that side bang, that always wants to fall in the middle of my face, but I’ll get that managed with a light steam. And is it me, or has JR made the SmartLace a little wider in margin? I bought a Julianne not too long ago and actually had to trim that front lace.
These layers on Karlie are just blonde-highlighted waterfalls to me. The length just kisses my shoulders and I need to play around with her a bit more. I still recommend this wig.
After studying and buying alternative hair for six years, I now have about 18 Jon Renau monofilament, lace front wigs. I always thought Kristi was my favorite, then Kendall and Cameron, but now I am sure that Karlie is the best of them all.
The hand-tied cap is excellent, fits my petite-average head perfectly, and is comfortable on, even for hours at a time.
The hair itself is silky soft and looks identical to my biohair, but better. The cut is flawless and it is effortless to train the hair into different styles. It stays up and away from the face with little training. The length works for me in that it is just to the shoulders so it provides length but not so much as to encourage tangles.
The coverage is superior. I can pull out my own hair on the sides and blend it invisibly into Karlie. The whole piece feels light and natural, and the movement is lovely. I will probably get another one for backup. Karlie is a wise investment.
This was my first 100% handtied and it's quite nice. The color hot cocoa is beautiful, and the hair ia soft and moves nicely. Unfortunately, it is not good if your head is on the petite side or flatter in some parts. There's a bubble at my crown that gives me a bit of a conehead appearance. I cannot get it to stay down. If I pull it and add a few clips to the sides and back, it lays a little bit flatter.
